“Last Sunday Wheeler Paul Heggie rode in his first Open Time Trial of the season. The 15 mile event from Newport to Howden and back was run by City Road Club Hull. Riders battled against a strong headwind on the return leg and Heggie finished in a time of 39m 49s placing 42nd overall. His time was a new club record for 65 year olds.
Sunday’s club run was depleted due to Mother’s Day but Dave Hudson and Austin Watson rode a 90 mile loop to Boston Spa and back while Paul Mynett rode a shorter loop to Oldcotes.
This Sunday’s club run is to Hade Edge where Barnsley Road Club are promoting an entry level road race. Meet at Brewers Fayre at 9am.
