Last Sunday Wheeler Paul Heggie travelled to Dishforth to ride in the VTTA Yorkshire 10 mile Open Time Trial on the old A1 to Thirsk and back. A tailwind made for a fast out leg but hindered on the return. His time of 26m 16s placed him 49th of 59 finishers and 10th of 13 in the 60-69 year age group. It also knocked another 12 seconds off his own club age record at 68.
Sunday’s club ride meets at 9am at Brewers Fayre Wombwell. Visitors are welcome.
