Wheeler Trevor Mayne rode the Buxton CC 'mountain time trial' on Good Friday, part of the CTT national series. The course consists of 2 laps of a very hard circuit which ascends over 4 miles from Longnor to Axe Edge in the Peak District, before eventually descending steeply for a further 4 miles. Added to that, the weather did not help with a torrential downpour on the second lap making riders very cold and bike-handling difficult. So Mayne was content just to finish the event without crashing; recording
1-07-39 for 30th place (actual time) and 5th veteran ('on standard'). Fastest on the day was Adam Kenway with 58-40
